I would not recommend Air Around The Clock to my enemy. The technicians don't know what they are doing(suggested I call someone else), and you can forget about calling the supervisor Brian to complain, he is beyond rude.

Unreliable Rude Office Staff

Request a check up on my unit, set appointment for between 2 and 4 pm. Repairman call to say he was running late, if I want to reschedule. I did for the following day, he told me I would be his first stop between 8 and 10 am. At 9, I called the office, they could not tell me where the repairman was or what time he would come by. At 10:30, I call the office again asking where the repairman was. The person who answered the phone, was very rude. Over all I am sorry I call this company. They are totally unreliable. they can keep their here for you today, whatever that *** slogan is. Will not call them again nor will I recommend them to anyone whose friendship I value. Good luck to anyone who calls them.

same thing is CURRENTLY happening to me...they are always in meetings...and keep sending me unqualified workers to fix the botched job the week before......I've lost 4 Saturdays in a row to babysit these MORONS!!!!!

Contacting a lawyer myself....and HELP ME HOWARD!!!

Selling Theme

Worked there awhile back, before I got my own contractors license. I still know several employees there.

I did not "sell" enough. The truth. I would get my usual seven to ten service no-cool calls a day, schedule the times, get everyone working, and have a slew of paperwork to sort through before tomorrow morning. First of all, they rotated my regular vehicle around because other guys needed their oil changed or whatever, and I insisted on taking ALL my tools off before letting someone else take it after the first time when a few items disappeared.

I also fielded calls from new hires that asked for help and advice, no problem there, but some of the questions were VERY basic and most homeowners knew more than they did when I'd leave their home because I always like to educate the customer. By the way, the office frowned on this because I was making the other prior techs look bad. Not that I badmouthed anyone, but by comparison. So my sales were the lowest every month I was there.

I actually went two months without selling anything. I mean beyond the bad part that needed to be replaced. I did not sell new filter racks, new systems, or SERVICE AGREEMENTS. I offered such things if they would benefit the customer or of COURSE if they asked, but I was not a salesman...I was a SERVICE TECHNICIAN.

If I fixed the problem and did not have a callback, my job was done. In fact, when I was informed that they wanted me to sell more or become an installer, I countered with having the LOWEST callback rate of anyone. The truth. They did not seem to understand that by not having to return, I was saving them money that offset the "sales," but gave them a satisfied customer.

I was told to inflate my Freon numbers, as in, how much refrigerant I added. Well, I always let the homeowner WATCH me weigh-in the charge with my digital scale. It is hard to justify four pounds when the weight only changed two! And besides, I found and fixed the tiny leak by tightening the valve core Schrader.

I was REQUESTED by customers, and they were more concerned with their football and basketball pools. Anyone that doubts this, check the parking lots at the Casino on Sample. See how many vans are there. Poker is a friend to a lot of their guys, and I know that it is rampant over there.

I am not even disgruntled, I am DISGUSTED. there are about four guys there that are quality in the repair department, and others are competent, but the ones that are SALESMEN are probably not technicians able to fix your system.

I am not even going to try and plug my company here, I am just being honest. Something that is rare from them.

I have worked at atc for 18yr i like looking at this things but not commenting but this is a joke i have never seen them push to sell extra things and never try to sell more freon also i have never seen them tell someone the would be moved to installation if they didn't sell more again this reads like a mad child that is upset

I worked there as well. And I, myself was demoted for being too inconsistent in MY sales as they put it!

ARC are total scammers!!!! Just got off phone with supervisor to complain about our supposed coil cleaning that we paid $400 too many dollars for, still had the unit leaking so had second opinion and it turns out coil wasnt properly cleaned, coil and pan still filthy with snot, after other ac guy cleaned everything properly and blew out the line and added refrigerant(which ARC did not do) our air runs great with no more leaking. Besides not having proper service, the technician was rude and annoyed, precisely why we chose not to call them for our continued leak, Brian the supervisor says, oh well you should have called us, i think not ever again, dont use this company!!

I know this company quite well...

First of all, they are all about making sales. Not quite as bad as Lindstrom in trying to sell you a new system, but they want a technician to get that bill higher. I know FIRSTHAND that they will lay you off if you do not meet a QUOTA of revenue that they will not actually tell you, so basically you have to sell filters, extra parts the customer does not NEED, and SERVICE CONTRACTS. I was told after about a year that my monthly sales were practically nonexistent. EVERY other technician outsold me. I countered with having the LOWEST callback rate of anyone, and their other guys would call ME for advice and to help them. Team player. No problem. But since I did not strongarm customers and lie about what they "needed," I didn't make them enough money. I saved them money by not having to return to fix issues like everyone else missed, but that was not enough. I was also penalized for not taking part in the multiple football pools and NCAA bracket tournaments, basically not gambling, and that sort of irritated the owners that gambled excessively. Next time you are by the Casino on Coconut Creek, count how many company trucks are there. From ANY company actually. They are NOT doing work there, unless poker is a career. Bottom line is they want to sell you something every time. Not repair anything.

24 hour emergency service? Give me a break!

I called for emergency service at 10 PM. I knew the problem was a clogged drain pipe, but I am unable to do this work myself because my wife won't let me. I was told all the trucks were full for the evening with work and someone would call me in the morning to set an appointment. I have had a service contract with them for 6 years in 2 different houses and they can't bring in extra technicians when they are that busy? I found another company that will come out night or day and do the work efficiently and reasonably. I will NEVER use them again.

Damaged my unit.....improper installation.....bad techs....bad customer service

Terrible Company......bad techs.....horrible customer service, when their is a problem. Air Around the Clock originally installed my new ac unit about three years ago. Seven months later the compressor went bad. Still under warranty, but they said my cost would be $800.00 for installation for the new compressor. Two weeks later I had a bad leak from my air handler. I had Air Around do all of my maintenance every six months. I called another Company to check the leak, as I did not trust Air around. The Company that came out told me someone had cracked the pipe to the unit and used duck tape to cover the crack instead of replacing the pipe. I called Air Around...and they said their tech did not do it. Well no one else touched the handler....only them. I paid them $200.00 to service my unit and they damaged it. I did not use one service that I paid for and wanted my $ refunded. They refused....finally sent me only $70.00 back. So,,I paid them to damage my unit.....and did not even give me the full amount back on the second service, which I did not use. They are very hard to deal with and the techs don't know what they are doing and really don't care. It's really a shame this Company is in business and rips off their customers. I will never use them again and really sorry they installed my unit. I hope I have no more problems with my unit.

Air Around The Clock - Defective Coil Review

ATC are scammers. AC installed June 2012, may. 2013 leak in coil, n/c. May 2014 leak in coil. Coil under warranty but charged for labor. July 2014 capacitor bad. Charged labor.. October 2014 fan motor bad? Sounded like capacitor to me. Motor under warranty but I have to pay for labor. I think ATC purposely use *** parts so every other day you have to pay them. When a car is under warranty. Parts and labor is covered! I hate them

Will never use Air Around The Clock ever again!

My 2yr old unit froze again after 3x already just this year. We were told there was a leak, so of course we wanted to fix it.

I have a Rheem unit & the supplier is just a few miles down the street from here. I called at 7am & didn't receive a return phone call until 11am, so much for emergency service. The first visit I was told I'd get a call between 830am to 9am the following morning, I also was told this would be fixed that following morning. Knowing a part was right down the street from me I still had wait the following day.

I never received the phone call nor was there anyone here in the morning hours. I called to speak to management or a supervisor. Tiffany was the rudest person over the phone with absolutely no customer service cuth at all. Of course there is no one available to talk to either.

Due to her rudeness I sure didn't want to talk to her either. The technicians are very nice, but it just makes them look bad due to their customer service issue in the office. I explained the first and second day I had an emergency of my own, but that definitely didn't seem to matter. Having a contract & loyalty to them means nothing to them which it should due to the fact that we are the ones contributing to their money making.

I sure will never use them ever again. I yet have not had someone call me back about my complaint.

By this same *** reason I went to study the refrigeration, every time I called a technician, the *** told me that the chemicals used in the beauty salon were harmful to the air, *** liar, other than that nailed me with the price.

Installed new a/c

Besides finding out that I paid over $1,500.00 more then any other company, the staff is disgustingly rude!

I called for a service call & realized they sent a salesman instead. He convinced me I needed a new a/c unit & charged me $6,000.00 for a 4 ton unit. Still the whole time I thought he was the repair man. The day of installation, the installers are the ones that told me he was the salesman. And they also told me that he never needed to order the truck with the lift. He didnt know what he was doing. Ordering a lift that he said was added to the bill but then come installment day, they couldn't use the truck lift but I never got reimbursed. Then it took them 2 days to install cause the men decided that they had somewhere to go and will return, but never did. They broke lights in the garage and never replaced when brought to their attention. Then the rebate came and they kept it. Another $1,000. Making it 6,000. Again: for a 4 ton unit.

I called the company & unfortunately got the same salesman on the phone that showed up that first day representing himself as a a/c repair man. (Is this really legal)?when asking him why he would keep the FPL rebate that FPL stated I receive, and asking him why this unit ended up costing $6,000.00, he was rude with one word answers. I told him he was rude & his customer service manners are horrible. He didnt care what i said to him. He got the money & kept making false excuses for charging me so much.

This company is HORRIBLE & lie to your face! Please dont use them. Save yourself a lot of aggravation & save your money. I probably didnt even need a new a/c. But you believe who you think are the experts. If you do need a new unit? Go somewhere else!!!!! Buyer beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not telling the truth

I had Air Around the clock come to my house for a quote on a new package unit because we were told that our unit was 16 years old. The blower went out and we decided that instead of getting it repaired, it would be better to get a new unit. AAC told us, when he checked, the unit was not 16 years old, it was 14 years. OK, not a big deal. He proceeded to check the unit, the attic, etc, etc and then gave us a quote of close to $4500.He never even suggested that perhaps our blower was still under warranty. Coincidentally, our next door neighbor had an A/C truck in his yard so I went over and asked if he would mind coming to my house when he was finished with my neighbor. He came right over and looked at the unit and said "this unit is NOT 14 or 16 years old" I was clearly printed on the front of the unit 2009. He said that it was very obvious that the unit was not 14 or 16 years old and in fact, it was in very good condition. He said our blower/motor might even be under warranty and he called his company and checked it out right then and there. Sure enough, it WAS still under warranty. He drove right over to where they had it stocked, came back within an hour and replaced the new motor, cleaned out the entire unit and we had nice cool air within 2 hours. Total cost $195. !!!! The company who was honest with us is called MR. AIR. I will never use anyone else but Mr. Air and will advise everyone I know to NEVER use Air around the clock. What a rip off and should be a "60 Minute" TV show because they have shown what some companies will do so sell you something and take advantage because you are unaware and cannot possibly know that your AC unit will work just fine with minor repairs. The work ethic of Mr. Air was spectacular and I highly recommend them.

Unsatisfied customer mislead on the unit I was a purchasing and wasn't told about the inspection fee if they have to come back a second time

I requested a 16 seer and I got a 14.5 seer which they claim it's the same. but that's not what I wanted i wanted the actual 16 seer their prices was outrageous 1000. Higher then other company. So pissed at the sale person and the management they don't even care how you feel about the service. I first inspection didn't passed and be aware if you have a second inspection and you have a emergency and couldn'tbe there the $70. fee is on you but they don't even tell you about this. Don't recommend this company to anyone. :-(
