Selling Theme
Worked there awhile back, before I got my own contractors license. I still know several employees there.
I did not "sell" enough. The truth. I would get my usual seven to ten service no-cool calls a day, schedule the times, get everyone working, and have a slew of paperwork to sort through before tomorrow morning. First of all, they rotated my regular vehicle around because other guys needed their oil changed or whatever, and I insisted on taking ALL my tools off before letting someone else take it after the first time when a few items disappeared.
I also fielded calls from new hires that asked for help and advice, no problem there, but some of the questions were VERY basic and most homeowners knew more than they did when I'd leave their home because I always like to educate the customer. By the way, the office frowned on this because I was making the other prior techs look bad. Not that I badmouthed anyone, but by comparison. So my sales were the lowest every month I was there.
I actually went two months without selling anything. I mean beyond the bad part that needed to be replaced. I did not sell new filter racks, new systems, or SERVICE AGREEMENTS. I offered such things if they would benefit the customer or of COURSE if they asked, but I was not a salesman...I was a SERVICE TECHNICIAN.
If I fixed the problem and did not have a callback, my job was done. In fact, when I was informed that they wanted me to sell more or become an installer, I countered with having the LOWEST callback rate of anyone. The truth. They did not seem to understand that by not having to return, I was saving them money that offset the "sales," but gave them a satisfied customer.
I was told to inflate my Freon numbers, as in, how much refrigerant I added. Well, I always let the homeowner WATCH me weigh-in the charge with my digital scale. It is hard to justify four pounds when the weight only changed two! And besides, I found and fixed the tiny leak by tightening the valve core Schrader.
I was REQUESTED by customers, and they were more concerned with their football and basketball pools. Anyone that doubts this, check the parking lots at the Casino on Sample. See how many vans are there. Poker is a friend to a lot of their guys, and I know that it is rampant over there.
I am not even disgruntled, I am DISGUSTED. there are about four guys there that are quality in the repair department, and others are competent, but the ones that are SALESMEN are probably not technicians able to fix your system.
I am not even going to try and plug my company here, I am just being honest. Something that is rare from them.

ARC are total scammers!!!! Just got off phone with supervisor to complain about our supposed coil cleaning that we paid $400 too many dollars for, still had the unit leaking so had second opinion and it turns out coil wasnt properly cleaned, coil and pan still filthy with snot, after other ac guy cleaned everything properly and blew out the line and added refrigerant(which ARC did not do) our air runs great with no more leaking. Besides not having proper service, the technician was rude and annoyed, precisely why we chose not to call them for our continued leak, Brian the supervisor says, oh well you should have called us, i think not ever again, dont use this company!!
I know this company quite well...
24 hour emergency service? Give me a break!

Air Around The Clock - Defective Coil Review
Will never use Air Around The Clock ever again!
My 2yr old unit froze again after 3x already just this year. We were told there was a leak, so of course we wanted to fix it.
I have a Rheem unit & the supplier is just a few miles down the street from here. I called at 7am & didn't receive a return phone call until 11am, so much for emergency service. The first visit I was told I'd get a call between 830am to 9am the following morning, I also was told this would be fixed that following morning. Knowing a part was right down the street from me I still had wait the following day.
I never received the phone call nor was there anyone here in the morning hours. I called to speak to management or a supervisor. Tiffany was the rudest person over the phone with absolutely no customer service cuth at all. Of course there is no one available to talk to either.
Due to her rudeness I sure didn't want to talk to her either. The technicians are very nice, but it just makes them look bad due to their customer service issue in the office. I explained the first and second day I had an emergency of my own, but that definitely didn't seem to matter. Having a contract & loyalty to them means nothing to them which it should due to the fact that we are the ones contributing to their money making.
I sure will never use them ever again. I yet have not had someone call me back about my complaint.
Installed new a/c
Besides finding out that I paid over $1,500.00 more then any other company, the staff is disgustingly rude!
I called for a service call & realized they sent a salesman instead. He convinced me I needed a new a/c unit & charged me $6,000.00 for a 4 ton unit. Still the whole time I thought he was the repair man. The day of installation, the installers are the ones that told me he was the salesman. And they also told me that he never needed to order the truck with the lift. He didnt know what he was doing. Ordering a lift that he said was added to the bill but then come installment day, they couldn't use the truck lift but I never got reimbursed. Then it took them 2 days to install cause the men decided that they had somewhere to go and will return, but never did. They broke lights in the garage and never replaced when brought to their attention. Then the rebate came and they kept it. Another $1,000. Making it 6,000. Again: for a 4 ton unit.
I called the company & unfortunately got the same salesman on the phone that showed up that first day representing himself as a a/c repair man. (Is this really legal)?when asking him why he would keep the FPL rebate that FPL stated I receive, and asking him why this unit ended up costing $6,000.00, he was rude with one word answers. I told him he was rude & his customer service manners are horrible. He didnt care what i said to him. He got the money & kept making false excuses for charging me so much.
This company is HORRIBLE & lie to your face! Please dont use them. Save yourself a lot of aggravation & save your money. I probably didnt even need a new a/c. But you believe who you think are the experts. If you do need a new unit? Go somewhere else!!!!! Buyer beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not telling the truth
Unsatisfied customer mislead on the unit I was a purchasing and wasn't told about the inspection fee if they have to come back a second time

same thing is CURRENTLY happening to me...they are always in meetings...and keep sending me unqualified workers to fix the botched job the week before......I've lost 4 Saturdays in a row to babysit these MORONS!!!!!
